Readingt Isaiah’s Mind – Chapter 40 – verses 6 – 12

green grass
grass is fodder and food for cattle and beasts

6. A voice loud says,  “Celebrate !” but ask yourselves, “What am I celebrating for ?” . To Salt Lake’s priesthood leaders, all flesh (the entire human race and particularly the people of Israel) are nothing but grass (fodder; silage;  food for their livestock)  and all of Salt Lake’s pomp  (splendor; colorful show; appearance of magnificence) means about as much as the shiny plate on the forehead of corrupt High-Priest (a sign of God’s approval upon the forehead of an adulterous woman.

Holiness
Holiness unto the Lord wasinscribed on the gold plate affixed to the High Priests turban

FYI – Anciently, the words inscribed upon on the golden plate fastened to the turban of the Jewish High Priest were  “Holiness unto the Lord” , expressing the idea that the high-priest is estimated by Jehovah as “Holiness”, i.e. “a holy man; a saint; an angel” and set apart exclusively for the performance of holy works in the Lord’s House

.

7. It (grass) withers (fades-away; dies-quickly) and its flower fades because the breath (spirit)  of God is blown upon it. Surely (indeed) the people of Salt Lake’s priesthood leadership are themselves nothing more than grass (fodder; silage;  food for livestock) and the breath (spirit) of God is about to be blown upon them.

.

word8. Grass withers and flowers fade, but the word of our God,  Jehovah, stands forever.

.

9. Rise up against the Mountain (exaltation; arrogance)  of men coming forth on-high (who are high-placed in positions of Mormon power and authority; in high places) like serpents emerging from their hiding places and their envoys preaching the Good News (Mormon Gospel) to you (Israel’s people; rank and file Mormon people) . Behold (pay attention) they are just exalting (lifting-up ; promoting; advancing) in might their own power and authority.
