Reading Isaiah’s Mind – Chapter Twenty nine – verses 1- 12

lion of God

In the context of Isaiah’s indictment, Ariel means “Lions of Salt Lake City’s God, Baal “ Lions refers to the kings (royalty; crowned-heads) of Mormonism’s headquarters in Salt Lake City.

1. Woe, ( a warning ; calamity disaster; catastrophe)  to the Heroes of Salt Lake’s God, Baal (lordship; ownership; domination), the lions (kings) of Baal’s City (citadel) , camped against David (Love), augmenting (supplimenting; adding to) itself,  year after year, with festivals (religious-commemorations). They fasten themselves together by agreement (harmony of opinion and feeling) between men.

gentle persuasion
On account of Me (Jehovah’s gentle persuasion), these jackasses will  bend to the will of the  “Lion-of-God” (legitimate monarchy of God).

2. But I will lay-besiege against Ariel (the heroes of Salt Lake’s God) then Salt Lake’s General Authority’s sorrow and mourning will come to pass and on account of Me (Jehovah), they bend to the will of Israel’s  legitimate “Lion-of-God” ( (God’s Judahite royalty)

3. So, once again  I (Jehovah) am pitching my tent, (re-establishing my house ; re-erecting my dynasty; raising-up my family) while circling-the-Wagons” (uniting Israel in defense of a common interest) against Salt Lake’s priesthood leaders.  I (Jehovah) will cause trouble (distress; affliction; tribulation) for all of you chosen-leaders at Mormon-headquarters in Salt Lake City, for the sake of the  “Covers “ (Israel’s-Ephraimite-people; the people who carry  you upon their shoulders) who will read (peruse; scrutinize; study; comprehend the meaning of) my indictment (accusations; criminal-charges) regarding you (Salt Lake’s LDS presiding officers).

rising from the ashes
“Rising from the ashes” is an idiom that means emerging as “New” from something that has been destroyed.

4. Then,  Melchizedek Priesthood authorities who have been cast-down (excommunicated) from high-ranking positions among Salt Lake’s prophets and apostles (“Brethren”),  will consider me and from-the-dust (because of being left behind; because of being deserted; because of being thrown-out; because of being cut-loose) these Melchizedek Priesthood Authorities will bow (surrender; yield; capitulate)  to declare (bring to light) your authority and obeying your voice will feel (seem) like “rising-out of-the-ashes” (dust; ground; grave) to one’s spiritual-sensibilities.

.

open the eyes
“Open the eyes” is an idiom that means: to become aware of the truth of a situation.

5.   The chirping of Salt Lake’s prophets is  vaporous (of little substance, inconsequential; not important; here and gone in an instant), and it actually serves to scatter (drive off; rout; dissipate; disunite; dissolve ; disband)  all of you (Israel’s people; rank and file Mormons) so, like chaff (trash; garbage; worthless-stuff), Israel’s people (rank and file Mormons) are blown-away (overwhelmed; extremely-impressed) by the evil-wind (evil-spirit) coming from Salt Lake’s chief-officers, but it will come to pass  that the eyes of Israel’s people (rank and file Mormons) will  suddenly (quickly and unexpectedly; immediately; without further ado) be opened.

6. And Because they are members of Jehovah’s family (lineage; bloodline; dynasty), they are authorized to visit  (punish; reckon; appoint) Salt Lake’s priesthood leadership with  “Thunder” (adversity; pain; misfortune; suffering; hard-times; trouble) and with a massive shake-up ( radical reorganization; re-structuring) and the sound of a great storm (conflict; battle; discord ; disagreement; controversy) and a whirlwind (maelstrom; clash of opposing currents; tumultuous-process) interspersed (mixed)  with flashes-of-lightning (bursts of brilliant intelligence) and  devouring fire (spirit of God completely filling men’s mind and attention; absorbing).

nightmare
Salt Lake’s sweetest dreams will be transformed into it’s worst-nightmares

7.  Then, the sweetest dream of Salt Lake’s Priesthood leadership, will be transformed into their worst nightmare (ordeal; trial; torment).  They will hear the  sound (report; thought; concept; prospect) of the Israelites pointing-out (directing the world’s attention to) Salt Lake’s campaign (battle; crusade ; battle-plan; course of action; strategy; tactics; maneuvers;  operations)  against “Ariel” ( “The Lion of God”, i.e. the tribe of Judah) and those who support Jehovah by refusing to  gin-up (generate; fear-monger) sympathy for Salt Lake’s miserable (distressed; anguished) prophets, seers and revelators.

.

.

thirsty man
For priesthood leaders in Salt Lake City, it will be  like a thirsty men who dream that they are  drinking a cup of cold water, but their dream is interrupted as they wake up to find that thy are “dying for a refreshing drink of water (the spirit of God).

8.  For the leaders at Mormon headquarters, it will be like a hungry (famished; starving;  mal-nourished; poorly-nourished) man, who  dreams that he has plenty of “food” (sustenance), but his dream is cut-short ( interrupted) because he wakes up,  to find his attention is focused on his empty belly, for he is still hungry (starving; empty) and  like a thirsty man who dreams that he is drinking a cup of cold water, but his dream is interrupted as he wakes up to find that he is still “dying for a drink of water” (refreshment). So it will be for  non-Israelites (presiding Mormon priesthood leadership) in the Salt Lake City , who are competing (rivaling; challenging ( denying; disputing) Israel’s people for control (authority; command) of Mount Zion.

.

.

drunken men
Mormon priesthood leaders are drunken (intoxicated; imebriated; “high-as-a-kite”)  on Salt Lake’s Melchizedek priesthood authorit.

9. Behold, (something surprising, but could have been predicted) the shameless-spiritual condition of   Salt Lake priesthood leaders. Notice their intoxication (bliss; rapture; high-spirits; exhileration; excitement; euphoria) but it’s not wine that causes them to stagger (stumble around; waver; vacillate; seesaw; equivocate fail; fall-down; straddle both sides of the fence), neither is it beer.

.

.

10. Indeed (as a matter of fact; If truth be told), Salt Lake’s “Brethren” (prophets and apostles) have anointed (consecrated; ordained; hallowed) “themselves” as Israel’s prophets seers an revelators  instead of Jehovah’s people.  Then, they’ve cast upon (brought upon) all of you (Israel’s people;l rank and file Mormons) a magic-spell (incantation; jinx; conjuration) over you, causing a deep (paralysing; unresponsive; mental intellectual) sleep  (“Tardamah”; coma-like spiritual unconsciousness; complete spiritual insensibility; total spiritual unawareness; a spiritual black-out) to overtake (overcome; overpower) you and close (shut-down; blind; dim)  your eyes (vision; sight; observation), while covering (rendering obscure, unclear, or unintelligible)  your lawful (legitimate; rightful;  authorized) prophets (visionaries; seers; revelators).

.

.

11.  As a result , as far as Salt Lake is concerned, the complete (whole; full; comprehensive; un-cut; unabridged) revelation from Jehovah is limited to a Scroll (book)  that is sealed (fastened-shut; bound-up; zip-locked; unable to be opened; incomprehensible; a mystery; an enigma; a puzzle). Isaiah’s words were originally (at first; initially) given (entrusted) to Jewish scribes, who were acquainted with ancient Hebrew prophesy (Old Testament prophetic language),  in order to challenge (bid; summon) Israel’s people.    READ THIS! I pray thee!;  I beseech thee! said Jehovah , but the response of the Jewish scribes was, ” We can’t bring clarity to  Isaiah’s words,   because we don’t believe that God permits us to interpret (explain ; re-word; decode; restate) Isaiah’s words, thus, Isaiah’s book (scroll)  shall remain sealed.”

.

.

a sealed book
A book that is sealed means that its contents (words; message) is kept secret or in someway incomprehensible, mysterious and enigmatic.

12. Next, the Isaiah’s words were given (handed-over) to Gentile scholars who held  advanced-degrees in ancient Hebrew literature and prophesy,  in order to, once more,  challenge  (summon; encourage) Israel’ people to READ THIS!  I (Jehovah) beseech thee!, but the Gentile scholars (academics) said,

“Yes…. We have considerable knowledge about Isaiah and his words, but we kinda-like a mystery (something that is difficult to understand or explain) and we’re content with the riddle (conundrum; puzzle; enigma) presented by Isaiah’s writings. So, it shall remain a mystery, i.e. “a sealed (incomprehensible) book!”
