Comfort for God’s People
1. Console yourselves…console yourselves, my people (Israel), saith your God.
.
.
.

2. Speak to them……by “touching-their-hearts” (inspiring-them; affecting-them; provoking-them) about Jerusalem, and proclaim-it (“recite it publicly”; read-aloud what Isaiah’s indictment has to say about Jerusalem, in the presence of those called together for an assembly), that Jerusalem has completed (fulfilled) her campaign (forceful and sometimes violent efforts to get free from restraints and constriction) and her duty (burden; moral and legal obligation). This generation (the-seed; the descendants) of Israel’s people have accepted (undertaken; assumed; taken-on) what Jerusalem received (was-presented) from the hand of Jehovah, in fact, double (twice the amount or extent), for all of Jerusalem’s faults (wrong-actions; offenses; “mistakes”; “failures-to-measure-up”).
.
.

3. A distinctive voice (characteristic of God) because (by reason; on account) of a careful arrangement of Isaiah’s words will return (face) Israel’s people (rank and file Mormons) toward Jehovah’s path (way; course) as a means to straighten (make-straight; straighten-up; untwist; put-in-order; rectify) Israel’s line-of-thought (train-of-thought; stream-of-consciousness; mental-connection; interpretation; thinking; reasoning; reflection) while they are in a “Dark-Place” (unhappy-circumstance; a difficult situation with awful things going on around) in order to lift-up “Israel” (“those who are upright in the eyes of God”) as something of value, and who are authorized (in possession of official permission and approval; moved; directed) by Jehovah, the God of our generation of Israel’s people.

4. The whole (organization; assembly; total-made-up-of-parts; entirety; every-part; aggregate ) of the Salt lake Valley deceives ( beguiles; charms; dazzles; enchants in a deceptive way; seduces; spell-binds; mesmerizes) and everyone (everything) there points to the head (Prophet and Apostles of the Church; First-Presidency of the church; leaders; tribal-chiefs; hereditary-rulers; family-patriarchs-in-control) and hills (men raised in a permanent, essential, or characteristic way but not as towering and lofty or as brutal, vicious and unbalanced as the highest-ranking-leaders) to be brought-down-low (overturned; thrown-down; abased; upset; leveled) by the majesty of Israel’s people and be supplanted (“fired”; superseded and replaced; ousted; dismissed; expelled; dethroned; kicked-out) as guardians (protectors; custodians; caretakers; janitors) of the vineyard while they bind ( tie; fasten; “seal” ; bundle; package) together Israel’s people and break them in-half (into two socially”disparate” classes or camps, i.e. “leaders” and “rank and file” Mormons) .
.
.
.
5. But this generation of Israel’s people reveals (unveils; discloses) itself to be the “Glory of the Lord” and the entire family-of-man (human-race) will see (bear-witness-of; recognize; understand; envision; behold) it, with purpose (reason for which Israel was created and the reason why in spite of men’s effort to destroy Israel, her people continue to exist) for (because) the mouth (spokes-person; messenger) of Jehovah has spoken (said-so).
.
.
.
6. Salt Lake casually (nonchalantly; in an easy-going-way unconcerned; carelessly) tells Mormons to read (rush through without serious studying, searching and scrutiny) Isaiah’s scroll (book).” Salt Lake’s leaders are terrified of “what-is-beyond” (what is beneath; “what-is-unknown-about”) Isaiah’s scroll, so they gather Israel’s people (arrange seemingly endless number of meetings) in order to point (direct everyone’s attention to; focus everyone’s awareness upon) Salt Lake’s missionary “Good-Tidings” (Cock and Bull Story; “Gospel-Message”; so called “Breaking News”). The Trumpets are blown and all Mormon Pharisees (hypocrites) automatically bow their heads and “Put-On-A-Good-Performance” (appear-to-“walk-the-walk” ; distinguishing themselves) as “showy-blossoms”, who produce fruit, for the Salt Lake’s entourage (followers; retinue; cortege).

7. They are nothing but dried-up hay (a fodder crop) and they “stink-of-rotting-matter” (like the stench of a dried-up swamp). This generation’s blossoms “amount-to nothing” (fail; are unsuccessful in achieving their goal) because the breath (life; courage; animation; spirit) of the Lord (Jehovah) hits (bashes; blasts; slams; smacks; clobbers) them. Verily, (surely; no doubt), this Salt Lake people are nothing but field-grass (dried hay or feed, for cattle and other livestock).
.
.

.
.
8. The blossoms of “field-grass” (ground cover that invades where you don’t want it to be) eventually droop, wither and dry-up , but the “Word” (revelation; command; instruction) of the God of our generation of Israel’s people, stands (remains) upright (strictly honorable or honest; up-standing) forever.
.
.
.
.
.
9. Those of Israel’s people bringing “glad-tidings” (“breaking-news”) about Zion’s (Jerusalem’s) authority (right to give orders, make decisions, and enforce obedience; jurisdiction; dominance; sovereignty; supremacy) …. Lift-up your voices to correct and chastise as though with a firm (strong; unyielding steady; solid) hand (power; influence; force). Point-to (direct everyone’s attention toward; lay stress on when speaking; make a point of; focus attention on) being (becoming; possessing the characteristic; quality, identity, nature) of My (Jehovah’s) breeding (treatment and instruction received by a child from its parents throughout its childhood). There is nothing for you to be afraid of. bring to light (bear-forth; throw light upon) my “say” (opinion; word; command; mandate) regarding the congregation (flock; fellowship; brethren; membership company; assemblage) of Judah (Yehudah)…..
Your God Is Here!

.

10. Lo…and Behold (a new turn of events, often with the suggestion that although surprising, it could in fact have been predicted)……. the essence (intrinsic nature that determines the character) of Jehovah in the strength (healing; assistance; fortifying) that Israel’s people bring and among their seed (scions; offspring descendants) ruling on behalf of them. Behold (see; observe something especially remarkable and impressive) Salt Lake’s “just-desserts” (“that which Salt Lake deserves or merits”) accompanies them and their wages (payment; reward; earnings) for sidetracking (detouring; deviating; subverting causing to be distracted from an immediate and important issue) this generation of Israel’s people (rank and file Mormons).
