Reading Isaiah’s Mind – Chapter 38 – verses – 14 – 22

search and ponder
meditate means to think deeply about something

14. As if wrapping my arms around (holding tightly on to)  the neck (channel of communication) of a cheerful and swiftly flying (galloping) horse , under these circumstances, the power of God inundates (fills; engulfs; floods; swells within; streams-forth from; pours-forth from) my soul. I meditate (contemplate; muse; dwell on; think about; reflect upon) in my mind and it is like (as if it were; much the same as; something like) the warmth and sweet-feelings associated with “falling in love”. It draws out (brings forth; produces; summons; invokes; extracts) powerful judgment (opinions)  against Salt Lake’s Priesthood leaders who lift-themselves-up (exalt themselves) as Lords (masters) of oppression (fraud; unjust gains) in order to oppose me (Jehovah). They mix (intermarry; intermix) themselves (their seed) with this generation of Israel’s people in order to provide themselves a cover (protection; disguise; camouflage).

15. What do Salt Lake’s leaders reveal (proclaim;  declare; think to themselves) about me (Jehovah) while they, themselves,  produce hindrance (obstruction; stall; adjournment; recess; discontinuance; interruption) of the terms (conditions; stipulations; prerequisites; preconditions qualifications; requirements) of my priesthood authority because of bitterness toward Israel’s people and greed for power.

mimicry
mimicry is

the action or art of imitating someone or something, typically in order to entertain or ridicule.

16. To Lord over Israel’s people, they prosper (promote; advance; invigorate; breathe life into; make happy) this generation of Israel’s men and accustom (train;  coach) each of them by pointing them to ( calling their attention to) this generation of Priesthood Leadership in Salt Lake City in order to replace  (displace; crowd out; remove; substitute;  supplant ) my spirit and gain authority to profane (desecrate; misuse; ruin; ravage; pervert) the men of this generation of Israel’s people by directing everyone’s attention to Mormonism’s “so called” Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Instead of a Restoration,  the Mormon church offers a mimicry (bastardization; imitation;  mockery; the action or art of imitating someone or something, typically in order to entertain or ridicule.) of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, a mockery of His priesthood and a bastardization of His church.

17. Behold (something hitherto unseen and un-imagined), Salt Lake’s bitterness (resentment; a grudge; anger) toward me is somehow supposed to engender (produce; sow the seeds of) friendship and peace, but their “bitterness” is linked to your captivation (fascination toward; attraction to) Salt Lake’s General Authorities, by means of the “Pit” (hellish-trap ; web; Sheol-like sepulcher; hellish-network) of the Melchizedek Priesthood Organization.   Indeed,  behind your back Salt Lake’s prophets, seers and revelators are cutting-down (felling; clearing-away) Jehovah’s authority and they are loading up your backs (burdening-you) with their liability for grievous sins committed by Melchizedek Priesthood leaders.

Sheol
Sheol is the “pit” – a name for the Mechizedek Priesthood Organization. Its priests are spiritually dead and fight against Jehovah and his people

18. “Sheol” (Hell; Hades; the underworld; the realm of evil spirits; the Melchizedek Priesthood organization) doesn’t acknowledge (concede; admit; confess; care about; pay attention to) The death (demise; passing) of the House of Israel.  They just want to “make a show” (make a mockery; make-fools) of all of you, never risking their own preeminence or reputation, they descend into the “Pit” (Melchizedek Priesthood Organization) in contempt of (at cross-purposes with; in opposition to) truth (integrity; uprightness; facts).

19. In order to block (thwart; dam-up; obstruct ) the  power of “The Living” , themselves, and they “sort-of” (to some extent; mildly; in part; give you credit for the days (times; era)  when their own ancestors (forefathers)  made their descendants aware of the great faithfulness of Israel’s people .

thrumming fingers
Israel’s people are thrumming their fingers on the table to the rythm they feel in their hearts

20. Jehovah is moving the deliverance of my generation of Israel’s people, in a different way – a poem set to music (a Song). Day after day ,this generation of Israel’s people is thrumming their fingers on the table, to the Israelite song (rhythm) they feel in their hearts. The song restoring life to this generation of Israel’s people regarding the House  (family; dynasty; household) of Jehovah.

21. Then, Isaiah whispered, “Let them make all the noise (create all the commotion) they want,  to press (urge; coerce)  Israel’s people together ( collectively; shoulder to shoulder; arm in arm;  in unison) with toil and labor (never-ending service; more service; servitude; menial-work; donkey-work;  grunt-work) and apply (administer; lay; spread) this “silly” (dam-foolish; nonsensical; rediculous) poultice ( dressing; bandage) upon the wounds (injuries; lacerations; bruises)  of those who are downcast (disheartened; brokenhearted; distressed; depressed; dispirited) of this generation of Israel’s people, then,  according to Salt Lake’s General Authorities, they will somehow be restored to health (healed of their sorrows, injuries and troubles).

what proof
What proof do any of Israel’s people have that Salt Lake will ever herald the House of the Lord (family royal dynasty) of the Lord (Jehovah).

22. Then Hezekiah (every Israelite who holds-fast to his God, Jehovah) thought with himself,  “What proof (evidence; assurance) do any of us have,  that Salt Lake’s presiding General Authorities will ever up-lift (magnify; trumpet; manifest; promote; set on its feet ; herald) The House (family;  dynasty; household) of the Lord (Jehovah).
